Our Model

A Dual-Track Education for an Uncertain World

Nebula Institute is built on a simple premise: academic excellence remains essential, but it is no longer sufficient on its own.

Students must also learn how to adapt, build, and create in environments defined by uncertainty. Nebula addresses this by running two equally important tracks in parallel, including a structured, multi-year entrepreneurship pathway with defined progression stages and credentials.

This is not an add-on.
It is the core of the model.

The Academic Track

Nebula launches with a full IGCSE programme (Years 10–11) aligned to internationally recognised examination boards, including Pearson Edexcel.

These qualifications:

  • are externally examined

  • are internationally recognised

  • support progression to leading universities worldwide

As cohorts progress, International A Levels (Years 12–13) are introduced, completing the academic pathway through upper secondary education.

Academic rigor, structured assessment, and subject mastery are non-negotiable.

The Entrepreneurship Track

In parallel with academics, every Nebula student completes a structured entrepreneurship and venture creation pathway.

This track is designed to develop:

  • entrepreneurial judgment

  • comfort with uncertainty

  • ethical decision-making

  • disciplined experimentation

  • reflective learning

Entrepreneurship at Nebula is assessed, portfolio-based, and progression-driven — not extracurricular.

Nebula’s entrepreneurship pathway is credentialed in partnership with Expara, ensuring students are trained and assessed against real-world venture standards rather than simulated startup exercises.

Dual Credentials, Clearly Defined

Nebula operates a dual-credential model.

Students graduate with:

  • Globally recognised academic qualifications (IGCSE, and later A Levels, via international examination boards), and

  • Professionally issued entrepreneurship credentials (Expara–Nebula), awarded through portfolio-based assessment and credentialed in partnership with Expara..

Each credential has a distinct issuer, purpose, and assessment model.

Academic Credentials

Nebula’s academic pathway leads to globally recognised secondary school qualifications issued by international examination boards.

IGCSE (Years 10–11)

Nebula launches with a full International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme aligned to internationally recognised examination boards, including Pearson Edexcel.

These qualifications are:

  • externally examined

  • internationally recognised

  • accepted by universities worldwide

  • designed to develop strong subject mastery and academic discipline

Students typically complete a broad IGCSE subject program that forms the academic foundation for upper secondary study.

International A Levels (Years 12–13 – Planned)

As cohorts progress, Nebula will introduce International A Levels, allowing students to continue seamlessly into upper secondary education.

A Levels provide:

  • subject depth and specialisation

  • strong preparation for selective universities

  • clear academic signalling for university admissions

The academic pathway is designed to preserve full optionality for students pursuing a wide range of university and professional outcomes.

Academic Standards & Assessment

Academic instruction at Nebula is:

  • structured and syllabus-aligned

  • assessed through formal coursework and external examinations

  • governed by the standards and regulations of the relevant examination boards

Academic rigor is foundational to the Nebula model and is treated with the same seriousness as entrepreneurial capability.

Entrepreneurship Credentials

Foundation Stage (IGCSE Years)

During the IGCSE years, students complete the first two years of Nebula’s entrepreneurship pathway, focused on cognitive foundations and product–market fit.

This stage culminates in the Expara–Nebula Certificate in Entrepreneurial Foundations, awarded through portfolio-based assessment.

Advanced Stage (A Level Years – Planned)

As students progress into A Levels, the entrepreneurship pathway deepens into venture execution, go-to-market learning, and capital strategy.

This stage leads to the Expara–Nebula Advanced Certificate in Venture Creation, reflecting capstone-level venture capability.

Entry Pathways: Nebula Foundry

Nebula Foundry offers selective entry programs that introduce students to Nebula’s entrepreneurship pathway using the same philosophy and curriculum foundations as the full program.

These programs are designed for students who want to explore fit, develop foundational judgment, or access venture education alongside another school.

5-Day Intensive

A high-impact introduction focused on entrepreneurial mindset, decision-making under uncertainty, and learning from failure.

6-Week Foundations Program

A deeper, portfolio-based foundations program that develops rational thinking, disciplined experimentation, and reflective learning.

Nebula Foundry programs are entry points. The full Nebula program remains the primary pathway.

Hybrid Delivery Model

Nebula’s model is online-first, combining live instruction, guided independent work, and global peer collaboration.

This core experience is complemented by optional in-person entrepreneurship bootcamps and immersive learning experiences, designed to deepen real-world application and community building.

Bootcamps are not mandatory and are offered subject to cohort design and programme phase.

Cooperation with Other High Schools

Access Without Transfer

Nebula’s entrepreneurship programmes are designed to be modular.

Students enrolled in traditional high schools may participate through:

  • partner programmes

  • after-school or weekend tracks

  • seasonal intensives

This allows motivated students worldwide to access venture education without changing schools.

Designed Around How Teenagers Learn

Nebula supports flexible scheduling aligned with adolescent learning rhythms and emphasizes deep work over passive instruction.

Social interaction is fostered through:

  • global cohorts

  • virtual collaboration

  • optional in-person experiences

The model balances structure with autonomy, rigor with creativity.

Preparing for a Future That Cannot Be Predicted

Nebula Institute is not preparing students for a single career path.

Nebula is designed to produce students who can succeed in both structured academic systems and unstructured real-world environments.

By combining globally recognized academic credentials with professionally issued entrepreneurship credentials, Nebula ensures students graduate with both intellectual depth and practical judgment — prepared for university, innovation, and lifelong learning in a world that will continue to change.
